Video Blog: Revisiting California Dreaming
California Dreaming - it's been three years, why did I wait so long?! Some Ulli Boegershausen Mad World in there as well. Just a dodgy mobile phone video but with Zoom H1 audio. Nothing special, but I haven't done a video blog in a while!
Enjoyed this. Both will be nice additions to your repertoire, and you don't seem far off. I'm wondering if you have the Ulli book with Mad World, and if so, what do you think of it?
Thanks guys - I don't have the Ulli book, I saw another player a while back play it, and she had her own version of the tab for it. I play it slightly differently from her tab. Great song, not much to it, but it is trickier than you'd think. Chuck it in the "to learn" list, I reckon it is good to have a few really high capo songs in the setlist, to mix up the sound. (Other than just playing one of your normal open string pieces high up :))
hey JAW< off topic, but i just watched this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKupfayqB00&feature=fvsr great fingerstyler, not in the database. i have never seen him before.
Don Ross is cool, but like Tommy Emmanuel and Chet Atkins and plenty of other greats, we haven't put him in the database. The database is more about little known/unknown players that inspire you. Not so much the professional players (although we have plenty of them in there now), but the good amateurs that run their own websites/channels that you could probably "connect" with - you could send them an email and it's likely you'd get a personal reply.
I noticed there is a database of greats at http://www.fingerstyleguitarists.com/ but they could really use a rating system, filter, brief descriptions or something. Or maybe not. I'm more of a details man, their site is more for the visual types amongst us.
